Honoring the top names in all the different genres of Christian and Gospel music, the 50th annual Dove Awards celebration, held Tuesday night at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, was buzzing with the success of many, many BMI songwriters. In addition to the awards ceremony, for the fourth year in a row, BMI hosted the Official Dove Awards after-party in the company’s Nashville office. Attendees included Gospel Artist of the Year Kirk Franklin and award nominees Zach Williams, Tauren Wells, and Bernie Herms, as well as key industry artists and power-players such as Mercy Me, Essential’s Holly Zabka, Gotee Record’s Joey Elwood, and many others.
