Zoe Worship releases "The God Who Fights For Me", co-written by rick seibold
I’m so stoked that I got to be apart of a really incredible project with Zoe Worship by co-writing “The God Who Fights For Me” with Chad Veach, Esty Maher and Drew Smith.
A little back story... Chad, Esty and I wrote this song late one afternoon earlier in the year, just before the quarantine kicked off. It sort of just flowed out and most of what we id that night ended up sticking in the final version. After our co-write, over the next few days, Drew came by the studio to work on the demo and lay down his vocal, which ended up launching us into a massive re-writing process. He and I, along with Chad, spent a considerable amount of time refining, rewriting, and tweaking the song over those next few weeks and months, polishing it into what you’re hearing now.
I had the honor of recording Drew’s incredible vocal at my studio, The Ranch, and couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out.
The official version of The “God Who Fights For Me” is now available on ALL platforms! Check it out!

Verse:
When the shadow’s all around me
When the hardest battles coming at me
Rushing in like a flood In the darkness,
When my heart is at its farthest, in the hardest moments
I’ve Imagined Still I know who You are
Chorus: You are the God of the valleys
You're the God in the storm
You are strong in my battles
Yes I know who you are
You’re my anchor of hope In the rage of the sea
You are the God Who fights for me
Verse 2: In the shadow of your presence I can feel your power working in this
Oh Lord you’re my peace
It’s your glory in my story
And I know Your love is working for me Lord
I know you are good
Chorus: You are the God of the valleys
You are God in the storm
You are strong in my battles
Yes I know who you are
You’re my anchor of hope
In the rage of the sea
You are the God Who fights for me
Bridge:
There’s no giant too strong That my God can’t slay
There’s no mountain too big
He can’t throw to the waves
There’s no weapon that’s formed
That my God can’t break
You’re the God who fights for me
